Welcome

Good communication skills have a positive effect on health outcomes.

Pet owners want to be kept informed and participate in health-related decision-making regarding their pets. So, it’s essential that we communicate clearly and effectively.

I help international veterinarians improve their English language skills so they can feel more confident and:

  • have improved conversations at work with colleagues and pet owners
  • prepare for success in the OET (Occupational English Test)
  • give presentations in English at conferences
  • publish articles in professional journals

I offer individual and small-group sessions to support
international graduates in developing their English language skills through:

  • strengthening all four key language areas: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
  • providing targeted pronunciation coaching to help you speak clearly
  • developing your soft skills so you can communicate with empathy
  • providing cultural insights to life and work in the UK
  • a tailored approach to equipping you with the language skills you need for building trust with your clients

If so, you must demonstrate your English proficiency by means of passing a test. The OET (Occupational English Test) is recognised in more than 40 countries worldwide.

To register with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in the UK, you must achieve a minimum of Grade B in three of the sub-tests and C+ in the fourth sub-test.

I know the language you will need to work in English-speaking countries. I will help you to feel confident in the consulting room with clients and equip you with the language skills you need to build relationships with your colleagues and in social circles outside of work.
